The Chicago Lighthouse
In June, I was given the opportunity to paint a Lighthouse that would go display on Michigan Ave in downtown Chicago. I painted a lighthouse, alongside my son, Mario. We both had fun painting this huge lighthouse. Our theme was "Endangered Animals That We Still Love". The design was all my son, and I added the background and filled in when needed.
Hundreds of other artists also took part in this public art endeavor, and it was an honor to be a part of such a positive project to put a beacon and spotlight on those with disabilities.
Our lighthouse was also featured on ABC News on Fathers Day and it was a bigger honor to be seen on television with my son.
