Boycott H&M
Once again, H&M has made a fool of themselves. They did this earlier in 2018 when they decided it was funny to dress a black child with a t shirt that read "coolest monkey in the jungle"...real stupid!
Now, they find themselves in another pickle. They decided to use an image of graffiti art without the legal permission of the artist. They only went as far as contacted the city where the graffiti was seen. But they didn't even bother looking up the artist and get in contact with the artist, and maybe cut them a check. Nah! They said, fuck the artist, we gonna use it anyway, like gangsters! Well, that artist got in touch with legal counsel and are taking H&M to court. H&M said, we the bigger gangster and counter-sued the artist.
But the law is behind artists', legal or illegal art is protected by federal law towards the artists'.
Once H&M found this out and the ugly backlash that came from the many backers on the internet and social media, they dropped the suit! They became the hated very fast by graffiti artists and those that back them up! Corporations are no longer the strong men they thought they once were! All entities are subject to suit in court, all, even the President of the United States.
Graffiti art is here to stay and we now got lawyers on are back!
