Chicago Fire Department

I was honored to participate in an episode of the cable TV show, "Kitchen Crashers". In this episode, that will air in December, I painted a huge 500 pound kitchen table for the elite firemen of my city. I had to make the design as simple as possible. Overall, I think I enjoyed the conversations with the firemen more than the painting...why? The war stories within the firehouse touched me more than the act of painting. I guess, it is harder to put out a fire within the soul than one that rages in a building!
