Critical Whiteness Roundtable and workshop (Ferguson Lecture Hall, 600 S Michigan Ave) Featuring: Kevin Coval (Young Chicago Authors), Jacinda Bullie (Kuumba Lynx), K. Bradford (Columbia), Adam Levin (First Wave Madison) and Ryan Lugalia-Hollon (Facilitator).
Collaboration, Co-op-etition and effectively using Media (Hokin Lecture Hall 101, 623 S Wabash) Lead by: Members of the Chicago Youth Voices Network (CYVN)- DeAnna McLeary (True Star Magazine) and Jeff McCarter (FreeSpirit Media)
Female MC workshop (Room 1303, 624 S Michigan) Lead by: FM Supreme with Ang 13. This workshop will be dedicated to creating a gendered space for young women to learn about the art of MC’ing.
Male MC workshop (Room 1304, 624 S Michigan) Lead by: Bomani Armah (Words Beats & Life) This workshop will be dedicated to creating a gendered space for young men to learn about the art of MC’ing.
Intro to Graffiti/ Mural Workshop (Underground Café, 600 S Michigan Ave) Lead by: Lavie Raven, Hip-Hop University Minister of Education and James Spurgeon, Kuumba Lynx Lead Teaching Artist. This workshop will be dedicated to helping teach-in participants to learn about the history and fundamentals of graffiti art.
Intro DJing Workshop (Rooms 1305, 624 S Michigan) Lead by: Justin “Itch 13” Fingers. This workshop will be dedicated to helping teach-in participants to learn about the history and fundamentals of DJ’ing.

2:40 PM– 4:40PM: Will the Real Hip-Hop Scholars Please Stand Up?: Hip-Hop Pedagogy From the Streets to the University and back to the Streets (Ferguson Lecture Hall, 600 S Michigan Ave). Featuring: Pancho McFarland (Chicago State), Lavie Raven (Hip-Hop University), Christopher Chauncey Deis (DePaul University), Moira Pirsch (Voices Merging), Stephanie Shonekan (Columbia) and David Omotoso Stovall (facilitating).
MC Performance Breath & Body Workshop. (Multipurpose room, 618 S Michigan Ave 4th floor) Lead by: Shannon Matesky.

9:30PM: ALL AGES OPEN MIC/ CIPHER SESSION (Young Chicago Authors, 1180 N Milwaukee Ave, 2nd floor) hosted by Isaac Miller and Insightout Literary Arts Project from Detroit, Michigan. All are welcome to come, spit and share work in all art forms!
